A Quiet Reset

I didn’t start this blog because I had it all figured out. I started it because I don’t.
This is the beginning of a reset — not the loud, dramatic kind that promises everything will change overnight, but the quieter kind that starts when you realise you can’t keep doing things the same way and hoping for different results.
This blog is about weight loss, yes — but not in the way it’s usually sold to us. It’s not about extremes, punishments, or pretending that willpower alone solves everything. It’s about learning (again) how to live in a body that has carried me through a lot, and deciding to take better care of it going forward.
I’m doing this at a stage of life where the rules feel different. What worked once doesn’t work the same way anymore. Energy shifts. Priorities change. And the noise around weight loss — especially for women — can feel overwhelming, judgemental, or just exhausting.
So this is my way of slowing it all down.
Here, I’ll be writing honestly about what I’m trying, what’s helping, and what isn’t. I’ll share practical, realistic approaches to weight loss and lifestyle changes that feel sustainable rather than punishing. Some weeks will be steady. Some will be messy. I’m not aiming for perfection — I’m aiming for consistency and clarity.
This blog is also for me. Writing things down keeps me accountable, reflective, and grounded. It helps me notice patterns instead of ignoring them, and progress instead of only focusing on the end goal.
If you’re reading this and you’re also in a season of resetting — quietly, imperfectly, and with a bit of grit — you’re very welcome here.
This is the start. We’ll see where it leads.
Frannie
